LitDesign is a visual exploration into the relationship between literary arts and space. Whether out in nature, on the page, through architecture or somewhere out of this world—language is the space in which we, at the innermost, dwell.

Thank God for Hangovers & Acting On Cruelty by Jordan A. Brown

Picture

Thank God for Hangovers

I remember writing this in the unforgiving light of my white bathroom. The mixture of the pure white walls and my spinning head led to me vomiting out the shameless thoughts of someone I failed.

Acting On Cruelty

The cause and effect of living life while carrying the weight of guilt of your actions and others around you. A lot of my poetry travels through my personal thought process, for this particular poem, I've been trying to sift through my own actions and those of others which leads to the idea of running or being used.

Saving Face by Jordan A. Brown

Picture

On The Steps of Saving Face

The bitterness evoked by the secret lives of those you loved, mixed with their outward antics and insistence to remain on their high horse. Landscapes, textures, time of day, cannot cloak the innards--the inside parts.

Absolution (Reprise) by Jordan A. Brown

Picture

On Absolution (Reprise)

The woman pictured, I spoke to during a rainstorm in Manhattan. She was jaded and cynical. This is a story told to her about her journey and love and healing.
